The Challenge
AppSense needed a scalable, high-impact technical training program that could prepare customers and partners to deploy, administer, and maintain its core management suite. However, a key adoption challenge persisted: the suite consisted of three distinct applications, and customers frequently implemented and used them in isolation, failing to realize the operational power of the platform when configured and managed together.
The existing training reinforced this siloed behavior—focusing on individual tools rather than system-level workflows—resulting in fragmented implementations, reduced value realization, and underutilization of the full management suite.
What I Built
5-Day Technical Workshop
- Completely redesigned and developed a 5-day, hands-on technical workshop focused on real-world deployment, administration, and maintenance
- Designed the course using a spiral learning model to explicitly address siloed product adoption
- Structured the workshop so learners first encountered foundational concepts across all three applications, without overwhelming technical detail
- Progressively reintroduced those concepts through increasingly complex, integrated scenarios that required coordinated use of the full management suite
- Ensured each module reinforced prior learning while adding depth—supporting long-term retention and transferable job skills
- Designed for both in-person and virtual delivery, ensuring consistent outcomes across modalities
Spiral Course Design (Suite-Level Enablement)
- Introduced all three applications early to establish conceptual awareness of the complete ecosystem
- Revisited core concepts repeatedly through labs that evolved from single-tool tasks to multi-application workflows
- Emphasized why and when to use the applications together—not just how to configure them
- Reinforced system-level thinking to help learners internalize the business and operational value of the combined suite

Certification and Curriculum Development
- Co-developed the AppSense Administrator Certification exam, ensuring alignment between instructional objectives, lab performance, and assessment criteria
